Group One Motorwerks has invested in advanced wheel balancing technology to help diagnose and correct tire and wheel vibration problems for drivers throughout Tucson, AZ and Pima County. Our shop uses the Road Force® Elite Wheel Balancer from Hunter Engineering, an advanced diagnostic balancer designed to identify problems that may not be detected by conventional wheel balancing equipment.
Road force balancing, sometimes referred to as ride matching, goes beyond traditional wheel balancing by applying a load roller to the tire that simulates the forces it experiences while driving on the road. This allows the system to evaluate the uniformity of the complete tire and wheel assembly and identify conditions that can contribute to unwanted vibration.
The Road Force® Elite measures both runout and force variation while separately analyzing the tire and wheel. This provides our technicians with detailed information about how the components are working together, helping them determine whether a vibration can be corrected through balancing, repositioning the tire on the wheel, or addressing another tire or wheel condition.
- Tests and balances wheels quickly and accurately.
- Patented vision system helps reduce setup and measurement errors.
- Diagnostic load roller identifies tire and wheel conditions that can cause vibration.
- Automatic CenteringCheck® helps verify proper wheel centering.
- SmartWeight® technology optimizes wheel weight placement.
- eCal automatic calibration helps maintain balancing accuracy.
Patented vision technology provides more information in less time.
- Spoke Location
Helps position tape weights discreetly behind wheel spokes. - SmartWeight® Optimized
Provides more efficient single-weight solutions when appropriate. - Rim Profile
Creates a three-dimensional model of the wheel rim. - Rim Runout
Measures rim runout and calculates ForceMatch® solutions. - Weight Mode
Determines appropriate clip or tape weight usage. - Wheel Dimensions
Automatically determines wheel dimensions and weight-plane locations.
Accurately centered wheels = accurately balanced wheels
Improper wheel centering can lead to inaccurate balancing results. Automatic CenteringCheck® monitors wheel centering during the balancing process and alerts our technicians to potential setup issues, helping Group One Motorwerks achieve an accurate balance and reduce the chance of vibration-related comebacks.
- Monitors wheel centering on every spin
- Alerts technicians to potential centering issues
- Helps improve balancing accuracy
Efficient, precise wheel weight placement
The Road Force® Elite used by Group One Motorwerks also incorporates Hunter's SmartWeight® technology. Modern vehicles and wheel designs can be particularly sensitive to vibration, making proper weight placement increasingly important. SmartWeight® helps our technicians determine the amount and location of balancing weight needed to address vibration while reducing unnecessary wheel-weight usage.
Optimized Weight Placement
The vision system identifies additional weight-placement locations and helps our technicians determine an effective balancing solution.
Better Balancing for Modern Vehicles
By identifying both imbalance and road-force conditions, the Road Force® Elite gives Group One Motorwerks technicians more information to diagnose and correct tire and wheel vibration concerns.
